Measure for panel without cut outs

Measure space where the panel is to be fitted (**and deduct 4mm from total length and 3mm from total height).  (Always measure upwards for height).

**Deductions are only required when the panel will be butting up to another solid surface i.e. wall/cupboard to allow for expansion.

Measure space where the panel is to be fitted (**and deduct 4mm from total length and 3mm from total height).  (Always measure upwards for height).

For the socket cut outs take the following measurements always starting at the left hand side.

Start to measure from the 2mm deduction line to the start of the first socket (note this down on your drawing) and also continue to measure to the end of the first socket (note this down on your drawing).

Repeat this for all sockets remembering to start from the 2mm deduction line.

Next you need to measure the height of each socket so start from the bottom and measure to the bottom of each socket (note this down on your drawing) and also continue to measure to the top of each socket (note this down on your drawing).

Once you have done all of the above you need to decide which fit you would like for your panel.

There are two options:

The first option is the best recommended option for a professional finish of any wall panel:

Option 1

With this option the panel will fit slightly behind your socket fittings so once you’ve screwed your socket fitting back in to place it gives a very professional looking finish.  (This option does not involve any wiring or electrical expertise), all that is involved is to unscrew and remove the front part of your socket fittings and place the splashback over to fit into place and then screw them back on.

Option 2

With this option the panel is made to fit directly over your socket fittings so you do not need to remove the front of your sockets.
